From Texas to Arbúcies

2010 | Documentary  Film | 72′

Directed by Raúl Cuevas

Produced by Nanouk Films and La Gran Evasió

From Texas to Arbúcies is the title of a documentary that followed the main protagonists of a musical experiment while they cooked it. The texan folk singer Will Johnson, leader of Centro-matic and South San Gabriel, and the mutant pop folk of the catalan band Anímic, shared a whole week together working on their songs, music and life experiences to show at the PopArb Music Festival –ideologist of the unprecedented collaboration–. The film follows the artistic creative process shot in a contemplative way where the camera becomes a sensitive and unnoticed testimony of the tight collaboration and experience between the musicians. The final result has become a story of subtile balance and the extraordinarily atmosphere on the creation.
